Elegant Fabric Belt - Serger Project

Create this beautiful fabric belt and coordinate it with the Evening Clutch Bag, made with the same fabrics, to wear for a special occasion. You can make the belt in various fabrics for a more casual look as well.

This belt is a very easy project, and I hope it will encourage you to try new techniques on your serger.

Supplies Recommended:

  • 1/2 yard cotton fabric of your choice
  • 2 pieces of polyester suede about 6" x 9" each
  • 4 spools regular serger thread in a coordinating color
  • 1 spool heavy decorative thread
  • fabric glue
  • fabric sealant
  • 3/4" belt loop binder
  • serger needles size 90/14
  • Super Clips
  • Rotary cutter and ruler
  • rotary cutter pinking blade
  • beads with a large hole
  • 2 D-rings
